Tony Parana: Brazilian Folk Artist
Tony, a resident of Bahia, produces an eclectic mix of mosaics and oil paintings. Both his paintings and mosaics use bright, saturated color to draw in the eye. Tony has been painting since he was twelve years old eventually training at professional artist, Rodolfo Rodon’s art school. The subject matter in his work ranges from community life to local architecture, all having a warmth and movement to each piece. His work has been exhibited in the United States and also in his native Brazil. He currently resides in Brazil and produces commisioned art works and is a leading organizer for the Bornalillo Arts Community.
